Without a doubt, these are extraordinary and difficult times that have brought fear and vulnerability into our lives. But amid these fears, there is one undeniable truth: It is better for us to stick together. Belle Threads feels the weight of the situation and is humbled by the clear need in the local area. The dedication to helping in any way possible reflects the brand’s commitment to prosperity and local support. Faced with unprecedented challenges, Belle Threads recognizes the diverse circumstances in which individuals find themselves in these times. Understanding that not everyone has the resources or ability to make their own masks, even if there is learning, the brand takes a proactive approach to addressing this need This strategy reflects the brand’s commitment to achieve positive impact in general. Belle Threads is launching a new venture – making masks for sale. While the primary goal with a mask donation has been and remains to support the medical community, the brand recognizes the importance of providing an alternative that is accessible to the public. For what it’s worth, these masks will be reasonably priced, making them affordable for individuals who may not have the money for personal protective equipment. Belle Threads not only focuses on public service but adds a significant philanthropic component to this initiative. For every mask purchased, the brand promises to donate a mask to those who need them.
We at Belle Threads are doing our best to help during this Pandemic. Although Tannia our Owner is 38 weeks and counting and the shop has been closed to made to order purchases that hasn’t stopped us from helping over 160 healthcare workers receive handmade face masks. The need in the medical community is truly overwhelming with more requests coming in daily so we are doing our best to keep churning them out as fast as we can. Here are our fabric masks in use at one of the hospitals with the most covid cases in our country Holy Name Health. Although these times are undoubtedly scary, one thing remains true, we are in this together. Belle Threads is humbled by the need that is so apparent in the medical community and we are so thankful we can help in anyway possible. Because we also know that it is becoming increasingly important for everyone to have access to face masks – Here in NJ Governor Murphy signed an executive order requiring all store employees and shoppers to wear face masks or coverings when shopping. These are unprecedented times and we know not everyone cannot pick up a sewing machine and figure out how to make a mask, even with an easy tutorial, so we are working on an initiative to start producing masks for purchase. However, as our goal has been to donate and not profit off of these masks we are going to be doing these so they are reasonably priced to the public and for every mask purchased we will donate a mask to the medical community. This will help fund our resources to keep producing these masks for the medical community as long as we can. Keep a lookout in a future post with the information on ordering masks and more on how you can help during this pandemic. We appreciate all the love and support we have gotten on our initiative and we hope to continue to do this as long as the need is there.
